Xcelerant Growth Partners and Allcance (Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil) have formalized a partnership in the promotion and delivery of RotoMES® software, the first and only manufacturing execution software (MES) system designed specifically for rotational molders.

Due to a variety of factors, rotational molding has historically been a regional manufacturing business, in which customers commonly source their products with rotational molding manufacturers located within relatively close geographical and logistical proximity of their respective businesses, distribution hubs or market concentration.

At the recent Association of Rotational Molders (ARM) annual conference in Kansas City, Connor Thune, a fourth-year industrial design student at the Columbus (Ohio) College of Art & Design (CCAD) was awarded Student Design of the Year for his “RotoPod” outdoor furniture design, as voted upon by conference attendees.

A long-time industry all-star and past-President of ARM stated at an industry event that “as an industry, we tend to undervalue ourselves…” I agree, and also believe that if we can shift our collective mindset from what we CAN’T do to what we CAN do in promoting our capabilities, we can shift the perception of rotomolding from bich to bad-as and catalyze industry growth on a global scale.
